The
Fluval Surface Skimmer is a
handy accessory for Fluval AquaClear AC filters. It removes unwanted surface films and organic debris from the water’s surface, thereby helping to improve water quality in the aquarium. At the same time, it enhances surface movement, which promotes oxygenation and gas exchange. A clean water surface is particularly important so that light can penetrate the aquarium unimpeded. This benefits aquarium plants as well as fish and other aquarium inhabitants. The Fluval Surface Skimmer is installed directly at the intake area of the AquaClear filter and works in conjunction with the filter cycle. This allows fine debris to be collected from the surface and fed into the filter.

The Fluval Surface Skimmer is available in two versions. One version is compatible with the AquaClear AC20, AC30, and AC50, while the larger version is compatible with the AquaClear AC70 and AC110. Please select the appropriate version based on your existing AquaClear filter model.
